Three things worth knowing first
How to put them on
- Wash and dry your hands. Push your cuticles back gently with the wooden stick.
- Wipe each nail with a prep pad. No hand cream or oil before you start.
- Pick the strip that covers the nail without touching skin. Between two widths, take the narrower one.
- Lift it off the sheet with the stick, not your fingertip, so the sticky side stays clean.
- Press it down a hair's width from the cuticle, smooth it toward the tip, press the sides flat.
- File the overhang with short downward strokes at the tip, never back and forth. Smooth the edge.
How to take them off
Put a little oil around every edge, cuticle oil or olive oil. Wait a minute. Lift one side with the wooden stick and peel slowly toward the tip. If it resists, more oil and more waiting.
Never rip one off dry. That is the one way to take the top layer of your nail with it.

Do they go hard?
No. They arrive already set on the sheet and stay flexible, so they bend with your nail rather than sitting on it like a shell. That is also why there is no lamp. If you want a rock-hard finish, that is salon gel under a lamp, and a different product.

Wearing them day to day
- Gloves for dishes, cleaning and gardening.
- Showers are fine. Long baths, pools and the sea encourage lifting.
- Hand cream is fine on your hands, not on the nails or cuticles.
- If an edge lifts, warm it for a few seconds with a hairdryer on low and press it back. Do not pick it.
- You can put a new set on straight after taking one off, once every trace of oil is washed away.
- Each strip is single use.

Do I need a UV or LED lamp?
No. GlossLay wraps arrive already set on the sheet. You press them on and file the tip. There is nothing to cure.
Will they look like stickers?
They are glossy and you file each one to your own nail shape, so from across a table they read as a manicure. Up close you can find the edge if you look for it, the same as with any wrap.
How long does a set last?
The maker's figure is up to 2 weeks. Honestly, it depends on your hands. Dishes without gloves, long baths and pools shorten it, and plenty of people change design before a set gives out anyway.
Will they fit my nails?
Each sheet has several widths, and you file the length to suit. Short or bitten nails work as long as there is nail to stick to. Very wide or very curved nails are the hard case. If they do not suit you, 30 days, money back.
Will taking them off ruin my nails?
Not if you take them off with oil and patience: oil around the edges, wait, lift from the side, peel slowly. What hurts a nail is ripping a wrap off dry, which pulls up the top layer of the nail with it. Skip that and there is nothing to scrape or soak.
Is it hard the first time?
The first hand is the slow one while you learn which width goes where. There is no drying time and nothing to smudge, so you can stop halfway and come back to it.
Can I reuse a strip?
No, each strip is single use. That is why every GlossLay kit has two sheets.
