Measure around the narrowest part of your torso, a couple of inches above the belly button, keeping the tape level.

How is this different from a regular shaper?
Most shapers compress the front of the waist and nothing else, which is why they fold over and why they flatten one spot rather than giving a line. The crossed bands here carry round to the sides and back, so the pressure is even and there is nothing for the band to roll against.
Will it show under my clothes?
The edges are bonded flat rather than hemmed, so there is no ridge at the leg or the waist. Under a ribbed knit dress, which is the hardest test, it does not read. Under something very thin and very pale, the colour matters more than the seam, so take beige.
Does the effect last after I take it off?
No. It is a garment, not a treatment. It gives you a smoother line while you are wearing it and that is the whole of it. Anyone promising a permanent change from a piece of knitwear is not telling you the truth.

Can I wear it all day?
Yes. It is meant to feel like firm underwear rather than a corset. If it is pinching or leaving deep marks, it is too small and you should size up.
What is it made of and how do I wash it?
A soft stretch knit with bonded edges. We have not confirmed the exact fiber percentages with the maker, so we are not going to print a number we cannot stand behind. Cool wash, hang to dry, no dryer. The dryer is what kills the stretch.
What if it is not right?
