Lissara Chin and Jaw Strap

Half an hour before dinner and my jaw sits better in photographs. It does fade, but it works.Rhonda P.
Lissara is a V-shaped chin and jaw strap. A smooth silicone cup sits under the chin, and two soft elastic straps run up past the ears and fasten to each other over the top of the head. The elastic pulls up, the cup spreads that pull across the underside of the chin, and nothing digs in.
It will not change the shape of your face for good. It holds and smooths while you wear it, and the look fades during the day. That is the honest ceiling, and it is here rather than in the small print.
- ✓It holds from the moment you fasten it, and most people find the skin under the chin looks a little smoother and the jaw line a little tighter straight after it comes off
- ✓The silicone cup is the point. A thin band on its own leaves a red line. A wide moulded cup spreads the same pull across the whole underside of the chin
- ✓Twenty to thirty minutes is the routine, in a chair, with a book or the television on. It is not something you have to concentrate on
- ✓One size, and the overlap does the adjusting. No buckles, no rigid parts, no ear holes to line up, and woven elastic forgives a lot
- ✓Nothing in it runs out. No collagen, no gel, no refills and no subscription. Wipe the cup, hand wash the straps, use it again
What arrives
The strap: one piece. A moulded cup of smooth pale silicone with two soft beige woven elastic straps stitched to its top edges, and a hook-and-loop tab near the end of each strap.
How it fastens: the two tabs meet over the top of your head and press onto each other. How far they overlap is how tight it is.
Colour: one, a soft beige the supplier calls Skin, with the cup a shade paler.
Size: one size. We are not going to print measurements the supplier does not publish. The elastic has a lot of give and it runs generous rather than tight.
How to wear it
Clean, dry skin. Sit the silicone cup under your chin so it cradles the whole underside, not just the tip.
Bring both straps up past your ears and press the two tabs together over the top of your head. Snug, not tight: you should be able to open your mouth and talk.
Twenty to thirty minutes, then take it off. If it pinches, tingles or goes numb, take it off now and loosen the overlap next time.
What it will not do
It will not change the shape of your face for good. It holds and smooths while you wear it, and the look fades during the day.
There is no collagen in it, nothing is absorbed, nothing is delivered into skin, and nothing builds up over weeks. It is a silicone cup, two elastic straps and the pressure between them. We would rather say that here than let you find it out in week six.
Marks, and going out
A light pressure mark along the jaw or the cheeks is normal and fades in a few minutes. If you are wearing it before you go out, take it off twenty minutes before you need to be seen rather than two.
Shipping and delivery
Shipping is free on every order. Orders are dispatched in 1 to 3 business days, and a tracking link is emailed to you as soon as yours ships.
30-day money back
Wear it for a few evenings. If it is not for you, email us within 30 days of delivery for your money back. No restocking charge, and a used one is fine. No subscription and nothing that renews.
About the crossed-out price: on Buy 1 Get 1 Free it is two straps at $47.90 each.
Sound familiar?
You notice it in the side photo
before you notice anything else
Nobody has a problem with their jawline from the front. It is the angle somebody else chooses, on a phone held too low, that starts all of this.
Lissara does one small thing: it holds, for half an hour, before the photo.
Why a cup and not a band
A thin strap pulls
on a thin line of skin
Every chin strap works the same way: elastic over the head, pulling up. The difference is what sits against you at the bottom. A narrow band concentrates all of that pull onto a centimetre of skin, which is why it marks and why it slips.
- The cup spreads the loadA moulded silicone cup takes the same pull and puts it across the whole underside of the chin instead of one narrow strip
- Silicone stays putSmooth silicone against skin does not creep the way a woven band does, so it is still where you put it half an hour later
- The overlap is the fitHow far the two tabs overlap is how firm it is, so you can start gentle and adjust rather than buy a size and hope
- Nothing to line upNo ear holes, no buckles, no left and right. It goes on in about five seconds once you have done it twice
What the half hour looks like
It is not a treatment,
it is thirty minutes in a chair
Put it on, sit down, read or watch something. There is nothing to feel working, nothing to time to the minute, and nothing to do afterwards except take it off. The skin under your chin looks a little smoother and the jaw a little tighter when it comes off, and over the course of the day that settles back.
- Before a dinner or a photographHalf an hour, then off
- In the evening, by habitWhile the television is on
- How long it is noticeableIt fades during the day
- What you do afterwardsNothing. Wipe it, put it away
How to wear it
Cup under the chin,
tabs over the top
Three steps, and the only one that matters is the last: snug, not tight. You should be able to open your mouth and talk the whole time.

Clean, dry skin. The cup should cradle the whole underside of the chin, not perch on the tip of it. Everything else follows from getting this bit right.

Bring both straps up past your ears and press the two tabs onto each other over the top of your head. How far they overlap is how firm it is. Start gentler than you think.

Sit down and leave it alone. Take it off if it pinches, tingles or goes numb. Afterwards, wipe the cup, hand wash the straps in cool water and dry it flat.
Snug, not tight. If you cannot open your mouth comfortably, it is too tight. Loosen the overlap by a centimetre and try again.
An honest comparison
Lissara, a plain chin band,
and face tape
All three are doing the same job, which is holding skin somewhere it does not sit on its own. They differ in what touches you and how long you can stand it.

What we will not claim: none of the three changes the shape of a face for good, and we are not going to pretend ours is the one that does. The look fades during the day.

Questions
The things people ask
before they order
How long it lasts, whether you can sleep in it, whether it fits, and what it is honestly not going to do.
How long does the effect last?
Not for good, and we would rather lead with that than bury it. It will not change the shape of your face permanently. It holds and smooths while you wear it, the skin under the chin looks a little tighter straight after it comes off, and that look fades during the day. People use it before something: a dinner, a photograph, a call that matters. If you want it to look like it did last night, you wear it again tonight.
Can I sleep in it?
Some people do. Start with half an hour awake, a few times, so you know exactly how it feels and how much overlap suits you, because you cannot adjust something you are asleep in. If it is tight enough to be uncomfortable sitting up, it is far too tight to sleep in. And if you wake up with a numb patch or a mark that is still there after breakfast, that is the answer: wear it awake instead.
Will it fit my face?
One size, and the overlap of the two tabs is the adjustment, so it covers a wide range. The elastic has plenty of give and it runs generous rather than tight, which matters more at the large end than the small: on a smaller face you simply overlap the tabs further. There are no ear holes to line up and no left or right, so there is nothing to get wrong.
Does it leave marks?
Light ones, sometimes, along the jaw or where the straps sit, and they fade in a few minutes. That is normal with anything held against skin. It is the reason the routine is twenty to thirty minutes and not two hours, and the reason we say take it off twenty minutes before you need to be seen rather than putting it on in the car. A mark that is still there an hour later means it was too tight.
Is there collagen in it, or anything that works on the skin?
No, and this is where we part company with most pages selling this kind of thing. There is no collagen in it, nothing is released, nothing is absorbed and nothing is delivered into your skin. It is a silicone cup, two elastic straps and the pressure between them. Nothing in it runs out, which is also why there is no refill to buy and no subscription to cancel.
Will it help a double chin, or jowls?
It holds and smooths that area while you are wearing it, and the look fades during the day. What it does not do is remove anything or move anything permanently. If what is bothering you is how your jaw reads in photographs this evening, this is a half-hour answer. If you are looking for a structural change, this is not it, and anyone who tells you a strap will do that is selling you something.
Does it hurt, and can I talk with it on?
It should not hurt. It should feel like a firm, even hold under the chin, and you should be able to open your mouth and talk the whole time. If it pinches, tingles, throbs or goes numb, take it off and loosen the overlap by a centimetre next time. Firmer is not better here, and there is nothing to gain from a tighter setting.
How do I clean it, and how long does it last?
Wipe the silicone cup with soap and water, hand wash the elastic straps in cool water, and dry it flat rather than on a radiator. Do not put it in a washing machine or a tumble dryer. How long it lasts comes down to the elastic, and the supplier does not publish a figure, so we are not going to invent one. When the straps stop springing back, it has had its life.
Should I avoid it for any reason?
Keep it off broken skin, a rash, a cold sore or anything sore or swollen. It is not for children. If you have had anything done to your face, jaw or neck recently, or you have a condition affecting the skin or the jaw joint, ask whoever is looking after you before you put pressure on it. And take it off, rather than persevering, if your skin reacts to it.

What buyers say
about Lissara
half an hour before dinner
I put it on while the oven does its thing. My jaw looks smoother when I take it off and that carries me through the evening. It is not magic and I did not expect it to be.

my head is big and it still fit
My worry was one size. The tabs meet over the top of my head with plenty of overlap left, and the elastic gives. It runs generous rather than tight, which was the right call.

no, it does not last
Being fair: by three in the afternoon my face looks exactly like it did before. The page says so, which is why I bought from them and not the other lot. I use Lissara for mornings I have something on, a lunch or a photograph, not as a plan to change my face.

the mark fades faster than i feared
There is a faint line along my jaw when it comes off. It is gone in about five minutes. I just stopped wearing it right before leaving the house.

second one went to my sister
Two for the price of one made sense. She has been asking about my video call face for a year, so one went straight in the mail to her in Reno.

i sleep in it some nights
I started with half an hour awake like they said, so I knew how it felt. Loose enough to talk in means loose enough to sleep in for me. Some nights I wake up and it has slid back, which is annoying but not painful, and I just put it right and carry on.

washed it, nothing happened
Hand washed the straps in cool water after three weeks and laid it flat to dry overnight. No shrinking, the tabs still grip. That was my other doubt beside the fit.

i wanted a darker shade
Only one color and it is a light beige, so against my skin it shows. Nobody sees me in it except the dog, so I let it go. Everything else does what it says.

bought it instead of a consultation
I had a price list from a clinic on my fridge for eight months. This cost a fraction of it and does a small honest thing for half an hour. That was the trade I wanted.

forty-four and started noticing
Side profile photos at my niece's wedding were the push. Lissara is twenty minutes while I read, and the line under my chin looks cleaner right after. Temporary, fine, it is temporary.

Our promise
Try Lissara
for 30 days
Half an hour, before the photo.
A silicone cup under the chin, two elastic straps over the top of your head, and twenty to thirty minutes in a chair. It holds and smooths while you wear it, and the look fades during the day. The second strap is free, shipping is free, and you have 30 days to change your mind.
Lissara is a silicone and elastic chin strap. It holds and smooths the chin and jaw area while you wear it, and the look fades during the day. It will not change the shape of your face for good. Results vary from person to person.
Snug, not tight: you should be able to open your mouth and talk. Take it off if it pinches, tingles or goes numb. Not for broken or sore skin, and not for children. If you have had anything done to your face, jaw or neck recently, ask whoever is looking after you first.
