Can you see through them when I bend over?
No, and that is the whole trick. They read as bare leg from a step away, but the fabric is opaque. Bend, sit, cross your legs, stand in bright daylight. Nothing shows. Up close you can tell they are knit, which is true of every tight ever made.
Can I wear them on their own?
You are fully covered, so it is your call. Most women wear them under something: a skirt, a midi dress, shorts, or jeans as a thermal layer.
Which size should I order?
Five bands cover XXS through 3XL. If you are between two, pick the smaller one for a tighter hold or the bigger one for more room. They stretch a long way, and the waistband is the part that decides comfort, so size up if you are unsure.
Are they long enough if I am tall?
They stretch to roughly a 40 inch inside leg. Over 5 foot 10, go up one band and the waistband will not give up halfway through the day.
Are they actually warm enough for winter?
They are built for a cold day out: a commute, a school run, a wedding in a church with the heating off. Brushed fleece against the leg and a knit over the top. They are not a ski pant and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
Will they go baggy or pill after washing?
Cool wash, hang to dry, no dryer. The dryer is what kills the stretch fiber in any tight, and it is the single thing that decides whether a pair lasts one winter or four.
