Tracera Wallet Tracker Card

Goes in like one more bank card and the wallet shuts the samePriya N.
Tracera is a tracker the size and shape of a bank card, so it lives in a card slot instead of hanging off your keys. It pairs to Apple Find My, the finding network already on your iPhone, which means there is no app of ours to install and nothing to subscribe to. Your wallet shows on the map you already use, and the card plays a sound once you are near it.
A tracker is a radio, and an RFID blocking wallet is built to stop radio getting out. It will weaken or block this too. If your wallet has a shielded section, put the card in a slot outside it.
- ✓It goes in a card slot, not on your keyring. That is the whole reason it exists: a wallet is the thing you put down, and a round tag will not fit in the thing you put down
- ✓It appears in the app your phone already has. No account to make, no app of ours, and nothing that renews. You add it as an item in Find My the way you would any other
- ✓There is no cell to prise out. It charges flat on any wireless pad, the kind you would charge a phone on. Nothing to crack open and no battery to buy
- ✓It plays a sound. The map gets you to the building. The sound is what gets you to the sofa cushion, and it is the half people forget to ask about
- ✓iPhone and iPad only. This is the Apple version and we do not sell another one. If you carry an Android phone, this is not the card for you and we would rather say so here
What arrives
One matte black card, the size and shape of a bank card, with rounded corners. A power glyph in one top corner, a wireless charging mark on the face, and a small lanyard hole in one bottom corner if you would rather clip it to something than slot it.
No charging pad. It charges on any wireless pad you already own. One is not included in the pack.
No app and no account. It appears inside Find My, which is already on your phone.
Setting it up
Charge it first. Lay it face up on a wireless pad and leave it a while before you try to pair it. Most of the pairing trouble people have is a card with almost nothing in it.
Open Find My on your iPhone or iPad and add an item. Hold the power glyph on the card until it responds, then follow the prompts your phone gives you.
Put it in a slot you can reach, and preferably not the one behind your transit pass if that pocket is shielded.
How it finds things
It is found by phones that pass near it. When your wallet is out of your own range, other phones on the same network notice the card quietly and the map updates. Nobody is told whose it is.
In a busy place that happens constantly. On an empty lane at night it may not happen for hours, and the map will show the last place it was noticed rather than where it is now.
RFID wallets, and what blocks it
A shielded pocket will block it. That is what the shielding is for. If your wallet has an RFID blocking section, use a slot outside it and the card reports normally.
Thick leather, a coat and a closed drawer are all fine. The sound carries through those and so does the signal.
What it is not
This is not a GPS unit. It has no SIM and no satellite fix of its own, so there is no live trail and no watching a dot move across a map. It reports where it was last noticed.
We publish no battery life, no range in metres and no thickness in millimetres, because our supplier has confirmed none of them to us. We would rather leave a number off than invent one.
Shipping and delivery
Shipping is free on every order. Orders are dispatched in 1 to 3 business days, and a tracking link is emailed to you as soon as yours ships.
30-day money back
Put it in your own wallet and live with it. If it will not pair, or it will not hold a charge, or it simply is not what you wanted, email us within 30 days of delivery for a refund. No restocking charge and a used card is fine. If you carry an Android phone, tell us before you pair it and we will refund it.
About the crossed-out prices: on 2 Cards it is two cards at $39.90 each.
Sound familiar?
You have patted the same
four pockets twice
And it is not in any of them. So you retrace the morning in your head, phone the last place you remember sitting down, and start thinking about which cards to cancel first.
Tracera is a card, in the card slot, in the app your phone already has.
The five minutes
It is never
where you left it
The wallet is the one thing you take out, put down on somebody else's table and walk away from. Keys you hold. A phone rings. A wallet just sits there being quiet. By the time you notice, you are two places away and genuinely cannot say which one, and the honest problem is not the money in it but the afternoon spent replacing everything else.
- Charge itFace up on a wireless pad. Do this before you try to pair it, not after it refuses
- Add it in Find MyOpen the app your phone already has, add an item, hold the power glyph until it responds
- Slot itInto a card slot you can reach, outside the shielded pocket if your wallet has one
- Forget about itUntil the morning you need it, which is the entire point of the thing
What to expect
A place on the map,
then a sound
Two things, in that order. The map tells you which building, which carriage, which friend's kitchen. Then you get close and make it play a sound, and the sound is what finds it down the side of the armchair where no map would ever have put a pin. It is worth knowing that the map shows where the card was last noticed by a passing phone, not where it is this second.
- Pairs toApple Find My, on iPhone or iPad
- PowerCharges flat on any wireless pad
- SubscriptionNone, and no app of ours
- If your wallet is RFID blockingUse a slot outside the shielded part
Setting it up
Charge it, add it,
then slot it in
A few minutes once. The only thing people get wrong is trying to pair a card that came out of the box nearly flat.

Face up, in the middle of any wireless pad. Leave it there a while. This is the step that fixes most pairing trouble before it happens.

Open Find My on your iPhone or iPad, add an item, and hold the power glyph on the card until it responds. Then follow the prompts your phone gives you.

Any slot you can get at. If your wallet has an RFID blocking section, use one outside it, because shielding works on this too.
If it will not pair, charge it longer. A card with almost nothing in it will time out, and that catches nearly everybody on the first attempt.
An honest comparison
A card, a round tag,
and hoping somebody hands it in
Three ways of dealing with the same morning. What separates them is whether the thing fits in the wallet at all, and what it asks of you afterwards.

What we will not claim: this is not a GPS tracker. There is no SIM, no satellite fix and no live trail, and the last row of that table is as true for us as for everyone else. It reports where it was last noticed, which for a wallet is the question you actually have.
Questions
The things people ask
before they order
What it pairs to, what happens to the battery, and the two places it genuinely does not work.
Will this work with my phone?
Only with an iPhone or an iPad. Tracera pairs to Apple Find My, which is Apple's own finding network, and it appears in the Find My app you already have. It does not pair to an Android phone, and there is no Android version of this card, so please do not order it for one. If you do order by mistake, tell us before you pair it and we will refund it.
Is there a subscription?
No. There is no monthly fee, no trial that converts, and no app of ours to install. The card appears as an item inside the finding app your phone already shipped with, and you use the map and the sound button that are already in it. You buy the card once and that is the end of the transaction.
Is it a GPS tracker?
No. There is no SIM, no satellite fix and no live trail. The card is found by other phones on the same network passing near it, which happens constantly in a town and may not happen for hours on an empty road. What you get is the last place it was noticed, and a sound you can play once you are close. For a wallet that is usually the question. If you need a live moving dot, buy something with a SIM in it.
What happens when the battery runs out?
You put it on a wireless charging pad, face up, the same pad you would charge a phone on. There is no coin cell to prise out and no slot to crack open, which is the part that kills most tracking tags in their second year. We do not publish how long a charge lasts, because our supplier has not confirmed a figure to us and we are not going to invent one.
Will it fit my wallet?
It is the size and shape of a bank card with rounded corners, so it goes where a card goes. People with slim front-pocket wallets report it sits in the back slot alongside one other card without changing how the wallet closes. We do not publish a thickness in millimetres, because the figure our source quotes is theirs and not confirmed for this unit.
Does an RFID blocking wallet stop it?
It will weaken or block it, yes, and we would rather you read that here than discover it. A shielded pocket is designed to stop radio getting out, and this is a radio. The fix is simple: use a card slot outside the shielded section. Plenty of wallets shield only one pocket. If yours is shielded throughout, this is not the right product for you.
Can other people see where I am?
No. The phones that notice your card in passing are not told what it is or whose it is, and their owners see nothing at all. The card shows up in your own Find My account and nowhere else. That is how Apple's network is built and it is one of the better reasons to use the one already on your phone rather than somebody else's app.
Why would I want two?
The usual pairing is one in the wallet and one in a passport folder or a travel pouch, or one each for two people in a house. The second card is cheaper than the first but it is not free, so if one is all you need, buy the one. We would rather say that than pretend a two pack is a gift.

What buyers say
about Tracera
slides in like a bank card
I have a slim front pocket wallet and assumed nothing would fit. It went into the back slot with my gym card and the wallet closes the same as before.
charging it felt strange at first
Putting a card on a phone pad still looks wrong to me. It works though. Face up, dead center of the pad, and the light came on within a few seconds.
one for the passport pouch
Bought the pair before a trip. One in the wallet, one in the travel folder with the passports. The folder one has been the more useful of the two so far.
knew it was not gps going in
Read the page properly first. It gives you a last seen spot, not a live trail. For a wallet that is all I needed. If you want live tracking this is not it.
left it at the climbing gym
Wallet fell out of my bag in the locker room. The map put it at the gym, I called them, they had it. Would have driven around three places otherwise.
bought one for my father
He loses his wallet weekly and will not install anything. Set it up on his phone for him in one visit and he has not had to ask me to help look since.
quiet street means no update
Dropped my wallet on a rural lane and the pin sat still for two hours until a car went past. Fair enough, that is how it works, but worth knowing.
second one went in the car
I keep the spare Tracera under the mat in the glove box. Not what it was sold for, but the card shape means it sits flat and does not rattle around.
pairing took two tries
First attempt timed out, probably because I had not charged it long enough. Gave it twenty minutes on the pad and the second attempt went through on the first prompt.
thinner than my hotel key
Was worried about bulk since my wallet is already full. It reads like one more card in the stack. The back pocket sits the same as it did before.
the rfid warning is not marketing
My old wallet has a shielded pocket and the card went quiet in there. Moved it to the outer slot behind my transit pass and it has reported every time since. Glad that was said up front.
no new app was the whole reason
I did not want another account. It showed up in the finding app my phone already had, took about a minute, and I have not opened anything else since. Tracera just sits in the billfold.
sound carries in a quiet room
Wallet had slid between the couch cushions. The chirp was easy to follow once I was in the room. Out on a busy sidewalk I would not count on hearing it over traffic.
the sound button is the half nobody mentions
Everyone talks about the map. The map got me to my own house, which I already knew. It was making it chirp that found the wallet, down the side of the armchair where I would never have looked.
left it in the seat pocket on a flight
Realised at baggage claim it was not in my jacket. Opened Find My and it was still sitting at the departure gate in Singapore, which I could never have known before. Rang the airline, gave them the gate, and a woman at the service desk had it within the hour.
it only tells you where it was
Worth being plain about. It shows the last place a phone noticed it, not where it is right now. That was enough for me every time so far, but if you expect a moving dot you will be let down.
used the little hole for my keys
There is a small hole in one corner that I had taken for decoration. Put a split ring through it and clipped it to my keys instead, because the keys are what I actually lose.
handbag, not a wallet
I do not carry a wallet, so I was not sure this was aimed at me. It lives in the zip pocket of whichever bag I am using, flat against the lining, and I have never felt it in there. The card shape is why it works where a round tag rolls into a corner.
no account to make
I had looked at two other trackers and both wanted an account and an app before you could do anything. This one turned up inside the app already on my phone, and that was the whole setup.
my husband finally stopped asking me
For fifteen years the first question of every morning has been whether I have seen his wallet. He can look it up himself now. Worth forty dollars for that alone, honestly.
charge it fully before you pair
Mine would not pair out of the box and I nearly sent it back. It had almost no charge in it. Twenty minutes face up on the pad and it paired first go. Do that before you start.
the matte finish matters
My last card-shaped thing was glossy and used to slide out of the slot every time I pulled a card. This one has a slightly grippy matte face and it has stayed put since August.
in the laptop sleeve instead
Not the advertised use. I slid it into the document pocket of my laptop bag, because the bag is worth more than the wallet and it goes in overhead lockers. Flat enough that nothing bulges.
two, so one lives in the suitcase
Took the pair deal. One is in my wallet and the other is taped inside the lining of the big suitcase, which meant I could watch where my bag actually was on the way back from Spain.
works through a jacket pocket
Rang it from the kitchen and heard it through a thick coat and a shut cupboard door, which answered the only real question I had about it.
iphone only, which is fine, but check
I ordered one for myself and had my sister's in the basket before I went back and read properly. Hers is an Android and this is the Apple version. The page says so in about three places, clearly. I simply skimmed it. Read that bit before you order for somebody else.
the power glyph needs a firm hold
Setting it up you have to hold the little power mark down longer than feels right. I tapped it about nine times before I read the instruction and held it properly. My fault, but it is not obvious.
my son's school bag
He is thirteen and has lost two bus passes this term. The card went in the inside pocket of his bag. I am not tracking him, I just want to know which classroom the bag is in.
smaller than the round tag it replaced
I had one of the round ones on a keyring and it was the thing that made my pocket bulge. This disappears into the wallet instead. Same idea, better shape for the job.
the pair meant one for mum
Second card went to my mother, who is eighty and mislays her purse daily. My brother set it up on her phone. Neither of us has had the ring-round-the-neighbours call since.
Our promise
Try Tracera
for 30 days
A card, in the slot, in the app you already have.
Tracera is the size and shape of a bank card, so it goes where a round tag cannot. It pairs to Apple Find My on an iPhone or iPad, shows your wallet on the map you already use, and plays a sound once you are close. It charges on any wireless pad, with no coin cell to prise out. It is not a GPS unit and it does not pair to an Android phone. Shipping is free and you have 30 days to change your mind.
Tracera pairs to Apple Find My on an iPhone or iPad. Apple and Find My are the trademarks of their owner, used here only as a plain statement of the network this card pairs to. Tracera is not made, approved or certified by Apple, and there is no Android version of this product.
This is not a GPS unit. It contains no SIM and no satellite receiver, it produces no live trail, and it is located by other phones on the same network passing near it, which means the map shows where it was last noticed rather than where it is now. In a quiet place with nobody around, nothing updates. An RFID blocking wallet pocket is designed to stop radio signals and will weaken or block this card too, so use a card slot outside any shielded section. We publish no battery life, no range and no thickness, because our supplier has confirmed none of those figures to us.
